I love this post and I love the colours of your house. Both so optimistic. What you say about colour being a reflection of the emotions - I think works both ways - when we're happy it's easier to reflect that in colour, but in low times, sometimes if we just summon up the energy to paint the walls pink (or whatever) then that can create an upward spiral.
I've been reading some of your archive posts today - glad I found your blog.

It's GORGEOUS, girlfriend! I have that same blue on my back porch railings and my front porch rocking chair, and it makes me smile each time I look at it. Thanks for the be-you-tee-ful pics!

Beautiful home! It makes me happy just looking at it!

Thank you for passing by my page, Ellie.

Beautiful house you got there. Just so you know, I once painted my house with the same shade of pink.So you have great taste there, gurl..

Hoping we can be good friends..

Thanks for all the great feedback. I'm loving the colors and hopefully, the neighbors are getting used to them.

Or not. ;-)

It's a little too Hair Ribbon for me, but I love, the Pacific Blue.(LOL)

Actually, I do love the colors, it looks cozy. I like cozy. And yes, when walking up I would expect a little bistro in front, or a little bench where people could just sit and chat. You would have to have a bigger awning though.

Have a great day!

It's actually not quite as pink as it looks in the photo. More of a pinkadelic salmon color. :-)

Very warm and inviting!
When can I come visit?
My house (and yard) are upside-down from area flooding this spring. Tomorrow I leave for a week; I need the break from the terrible feng shui of my home.

Dean

well said, El... I guess this would be the new Big Pink... I can almost hear Levon singing "The Weight"

ellie

My yard is upside down, too! You can't see the back, but I'm in the midst of adding a sunroom. I closed all the curtains so I don't have to look at the mess.

Dean--I love that song! "Take a load off, ellie." lol

An unusual colour to paint a house but interesting and unique-vividly so - and I suppose the postie won't forget the address in a hurry (LOL).
